What song plays in your mind when you think of the moment you make your grand entrance on your wedding day?
Just think… You close your eyes, take a deep breath, followed by that all important first step, as the music begins to play. All eyes are on you in this moment, but what song is playing?
Choosing the perfect soundtrack to your special day can be a daunting task for any couple. The entrance music for your wedding ceremony sets the tone for the whole event - you want to be sure it’s something that’s meaningful to you and fits the aesthetic of your wedding.
Music is such a powerful tool for creating a sense of joy and togetherness, offering a calm moment of quiet reflection, or communicating emotions where words may fail us.

So if you find yourself struggling to choose the perfect entrance song for your wedding ceremony, check out our top recommendations below. These are tried and tested crowdpleasers that are sure to delight both guests and soon-to-be-spouses alike.
1 - Come And Get Your Love
It’s all about the funky opening bass line with this soul classic. This aptly-titled number may not be to everyone’s taste but it’s perfect for those who prefer to dance down the aisle as your guests bop in their seats. Bonus points if your guests sing the call and response section:
2 - Oh Happy Day
A true expression of joy - you can’t go wrong with this quintessential gospel number:
3 - The Bones
‘When there ain't a crack in the foundation
Baby, I know any storm we're facing
Will blow right over while we stay put
The house don't fall when the bones are good…'
This stunning song from Maren Morris & Hozier is perfect for any wedding ceremony. Best of all, with its beautiful message of the importance of building strong foundations in any relationship, it pairs perfectly with the iconic poem ‘Scaffolding’ by Irish poet Seamus Heaney.
4 - Can’t Help Falling In Love
Listed by Rolling Stone as one of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, this classic ballad is a tried and test wedding staple that never fails to delight. While some may argue there’s no beating the original Elvis version, we’re huge fans of Haley Reinhart’s cover:
5 - Only You
‘All I needed was the love you gave
All I needed for another day
And all I ever knew
Only you..’
Personally we prefer a more mellow acapella rendition of this 80s synth-pop hit, but whether you opt for The Flying Pickets rendition or the original Yazoo, you can’t go wrong with this classic.
6 - Are You Ready For Love?
Hopefully the answer is yes - this should really be more of a rhetorical question on your wedding day. This upbeat entrance song will leave you and your guests feeling ready for a day of celebration!
7 - How Deep Is Your Love?
‘I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour
You're my savior when I fall…’
We understand that some people find this one a little cheesy but hear us out. Slow it down and in the right hands (like those of PJ Morton) you have yourself a lush number that would make anyone fall in love with you all over again… And check out the lyrics to that second verse - if that’s not love, we don’t know what is.
8 - I Choose You
Another song that we like to slow down and take at a more mellow pace than the original - just like this acoustic version by Sara Bareilles herself - but either style works!
9 - I Belong To You
‘I've been captured by a love I can't explain
And now you have me and I'm forever changed…’
We fell in love with this beautiful song from Gospel artist William McDowell the first time we heard it, and we think you will too. Not for those who take things too literally, this is an expression of spiritual and emotional belonging:
10 - You Make My Dreams Come True
This Hall & Oates hit works as an upbeat joyful number, or a more subdued rendition. The choice is yours!
Top Tip: Timing is everything! You don’t want to be left standing akwardly once you’ve reached your destination, be it altar or otherwise, so make sure to discuss the length of the entrance song with your ceremony musicians and have them make cuts accordingly if required. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying your entrance song in full before the ceremony begins - it’s your special day after all.
